Got talent or know someone who does?
One hundred contestants will battle for a grand prize package worth $2,500 in Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Texas Top Star Vocal Competition.
Contestants pay $25 to audition on June 5 and twenty finalists will be selected to perform in the Grand Finale on June 12 at Mountain View College and emceed by Joe from MTV3.
Some proceeds will go toward the Golden Oaks Scholarship which provides funds for Oak Cliff area graduates to attend college.
So, if you’ve got talent, here’s the opportunity to perform in front of celebrity judges including, Dondria and the group Yahrough and Peoples.

Kyndal Robertson is a native of Dallas, TX and a graduate of Tyler Street Christian Academy in Oak Cliff’s Bishop Art’s District. She attended the University of Houston and completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX. Kyndal is currently a vocalist for DM Productions (2005- present) – a production and entertainment company in the Dallas – Ft. Worth area. With DM Productions, Kyndal has had the pleasure of performing in Las Vegas, NV and the honor of opening for the legendary R&B group Kool and the Gang in Austin, TX.
Kyndal admires many iconic greats such as Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye- just to name a few.
More recently, Kyndal has ventured her talents to the stage, starring in “To the Max”, an original play by writer, novelist, and artist Camika Spencer; as well as a role in “A Medal for Murder” an original comedic murder mystery which took place at TeCo Theater in Dallas’ Bishop Arts District. But as music is her first love, Kyndal also continues to serve as a Praise and Worship leader at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.
In 2009, Kyndal was granted the honor of being named the first Texas Top Star winner. With much of the prize package offered through this competition, Kyndal is currently working to complete her recording project.
